Hi all,
I read about some telegram app contest for BB10 a while ago and the winner would be announced on December 25. It has now been almost a month and I haven't heard anything yet. Does anyone know what's going on?

The contest was extended for an extra month:

Last month we've launched a $50,000 contest for Blackberry engineers. We have received 4 applications, but none of the contestants have fulfilled the goals so far. We've decided to extend the competition for an extra month.

In order to avoid confusion and make public testing of the apps possible, we ask all contestants to upload their apps to BB World by January 25, 2015 and send the app together with the store link to [email protected].

The truth is that 1 month was too tight a deadline for creating a good, sound product.

If they would have chosen the 2 months period from the beginning, I'm sure many others would have taken the challenge. I know I would.

Too bad they didn't realise this beforehand, not only for us but I can imagine for Telegram as well.

I highly doubt we'll get a winner announcement today. If developers still can send in apps today, they have to take another week or two at least to test all sent in contenders.
