I need to find a good free voice recording app, I've noticed that my Z10 doesn't have one like on my torch did
Anyone have any good suggestions on which one would make for a good app.

Your BB10 does have it, it is buried inside Remember app. However you can get Parrot - it is a free app and does what you ar asking for without jumping through the Remember app hoops.

Start a 'new entry' , hide the keyboard and you will see 'Voice Note recorder'. I still recommend Parrot. It's free and has more options. Very good VR app.
