Kevin, Instagram is a ported-Andriod version or native app?
OK this question is killing me already as I need to know and I'm sorry if there's billion of threads out there regarding Instagram, but Kevin, for God's sake, please tell us atleast whether it's a ported version or a native app of BB? I don't care or don't wanna know when it's gonna be released as long it's as native app. I don't like the idea of having and stealing some stupid Andriod version and port it to BB just so it works. Yes, we do deserve to have our own native BB app!
Please take a moment to read this thread and reply back to us since there was no other way to ask this.

Sideloaded doesn't work so I would have to assume that the one Kevin showed was native. Could be wrong though. Guess we'll have to wait and see

I don't think Kevin would troll us like that and tease us with a side loaded app like that. If that's the case then might as well show Netflix and google maps.
all smartphones are tools.
android = 48pc tool set (you"ll eventually find the tool you need, but some assembly required)
iphone = swiss army knife (most of the tools you need in a small, simple to use package)
blackberry = adjustable wrench (sometimes all you need is a wrench)
windows phone = bionic wrench (its different....but it works) - 02-02-2013, 11:52 PM #5
Based on his title "Where there's a will, there's a way" indicates it wasn't easy to get it working. It's either an official Android port from Instagram that's coming soon or a working unofficial sideload that he managed to get working. Very doubtful it's native Cascades.

as far as i know, firstly it will be an Android port and following version will be native
Before BB10 = BIS sucks! - After BB10 = BIS is the greatest thing BlackBerry ever had
Before BB10 = BlackBerry OS sucks! - After BB10 = Bring back BBOS.
Why can't we make our minds up?Thanked by:Z10Newsman (02-05-2013)

Facebook owns instagram. Facebook made a native app for bb10. If I were to speculate I would imagine it would be native.
Who wouldn't want to take advantage of making their app even more awesome than all other os's with special gesture ways of doing things.

Kevin has pulled the photo and the CB post, he wouldn't have pulled it unless he had too (so probably not some 3rd party fiddling)
