Netflix has been quite the success story of late. After their stock peaked at $295 in July 2011, they saw it plunge to a low of $54 a year ago. At the time of this writing, it's back up to near record levels, $282. Their subscriber base is at an all-time high and that's growing as well.

It's time Netflix arrives on BlackBerry 10. There's no reason why it shouldn't be on there. Make it happen, BlackBerry!

Oh really? Could you provide a link to yesterday's thread?

When I created the title on my desktop, it didn't bring up any similar threads. Perhaps that's something you could bring forward to be improved upon.

Did you see the article about what BlackBerry is doing to entice big name developers to the platform? Actually, it is up to BlackBerry.

Wow, I just made an observation on Netflix's remarkable turnaround over the course of one year and used that as the basis of why they should have a presence on our beloved platform.

There's an extreme level of poison on CrackBerry 's forums lately.

It was a very informative article. However, as much enticing as BBRY might do, a number of companies have not been willing to put resources into it. So enticement does not always work. Actually, it's really time to get Audible on my Z10, but Audible has shown no interest.

I still don't understand why companies such as Netflix, who have an interest in reaching as many eyeballs as possible, dont just port the app officially and call it a beta version. Essentially zero support costs while gauging interest.

The only plausible reason I can think of is backroom political machinations and/or a desire to hold BlackBerry for ransom.

The only way to make it happen is if Netflix subscribers called Netflix or cancelled their accounts because of this. Asking for it on CrackBerry won't do anything.

What do you expect BB to do when the Netflix CEO wrote the platform off claiming these are work phones/tools and the users don't want Netflix anyways...

I'm just waiting for a BB10 app to give them 8$ per month, I'm sure I'm not the only one, give us a damn app, it's also a question of respect for tour customer.

Yes...I remember the "Let's all stick it to Neflix" thread.

    How'd that work out, anyway?

A meeting of the two respective CEO's would help

It's too bad Audible has shown no interest, particularly since the Android version works just fine. It would require almost no time on their end, for those that won't or can't sideload.

The reasons App makers won't make their apps for BB is bc ppl are sideloading Android apps. If i don't get the app on BB World, my Z10 can't have it. If BB would stop sideloading, more apps would come.

It's up to Netflix to develop or port over their application to the BB10, it has nothing to do with BBRY, they don't own Netflix. So I think you need to take this up with Netflix, they do have their own community base forum, hint, hint!

There is no reason, except Netfilx would need a new CEO to make it happen, or change his mind, also, it's hollywood connected from its roots, and we all know what platform is promoted there...thing is, if their CEO just doesn't care for BB, shouldn't matter, many of their users do, and thus, an application should be brought forth for those users regardless of their CEO's personal opinion, imo.

Audible can be side loaded and works nicely on 10.2.1.1047 with the jellybean runtime leak. Listened to a book yesterday and was very pleased with how little battery drain!
