    Is there any dictionary app that would allow me to long press on a word and give options for the definition or thesaurus while reading an article or document

    No that's not possible at this point, despite being a very cool idea.

    Hopefully as BB10 moves into v10.2 on onward, BBRY makes it possible to add little slices of awesomeness like that.
    The first step will be apps being able to run in the background, and this is coming.
