Whatever happened to Instagram making an official appearance on BB10? Even Kevin said it pretty much definitely will be but here we are in June and there's no official, just a sideloadable version that has bugs.

I am not a huge Instagram user so the port is just fine for me. I would not be surprised to see it come with 10.2 as a jellybean port to BlackBerry app world.

I started a hashtag to post on all twitter accounts of the big names like Instagram and Viber but no one picked up.

All the forum complains but no one tries to do something about it. If all the blackberry users agree on an approach and just send the same thing to the big apps they will see the number of requests is big enough and probably will get their app to be native.

Yes, let's blame the company for a promise they never made on a matter that is ultimately out of their control.

Anyhow, I believe Kevin last said that they may have decided to hold off until the 10.2 update in order to improve the app performance, since Instagram is supposedly going to be an Android port and 10.2 will bring some major changes to Android Player. So I guess we'll find out in September/October.

I think getting 10.1 out has kinda taken a higher priority lately. Judging by the fact that we have gotten multiple leaked bar files someone behind the scenes has to be working on it

Instagram works very well on the 4.2 runtime. I wouldn't be surprised if they're holding out for that, but they could have developed a native one by now, it's been 5 months already. I side loaded it in 5 mins.

If they don't make an appearance once 10.2 appears, then I think we won't see it at all. 10.2 is slated for release in Sept/Oct

It make sense if they are waiting for 10.2, since we saw the keyboard issues with the side loaded IG over Android Runtime 2.3.3 .. plus the arabic language is not well supported on the Android Runtime it's missed up ( look at the pic) , and I heard this language issues will be solved on the Android Runtime 4.2 jelly beans.. would be grateful if someone has the 10.2 beta with JB 4.2 and can confirm it's solved or not yet.

No problem at all. I upload photos, apply filters the same way i used to on my iphone. The whole process is smooth. A little awkward on the keyboard while commenting bt can do. No issues untill now.
