    I want important contacts to be able ring me if the phone is in silent but cannot workout how to set it up. I set someone as a vip as a test but the ring tone didn't sound off.

    I'm on BlackBerry 10.2.1

    If the Sound Notification is to OFF in the Settings then you won't hear any sound at all.
    I will change this to always turn on volume for vip contacts.
