I think I might get this but can someone comment on how much of an impact it will have on my battery life? I understand if I add in lots of sounds it will but I mean I'll probably just use it to change some of the leds

It will affect your battery as much as any other app like Hub+ or BeBuzz. There is some drain on battery but any headless app would do the same.

    Thanks

I've never used those apps so I have no idea how much Hub++ or Bebuzz would drain Can you perhaps elaborate and quantify "some drain" a bit

    Thanks

How bad is Geofencing on the battery? Do you think using location to turn on/off blue tooth is less draining than leaving it on and having it constantly searching for a device?

Yea, I mostly use it for wifi and changing sound profile to vibrate when I get to the office, but i guess anything that uses gps/location will drain quite a bit. So maybe it's a sacrifice of battery life for a very convenient feature...

I have the following always on:

    • Geofencing
    • Sound Profile Changing
    • Wallpaper Changer
    • LED
    • Message Blocker

From App Manager usage report Power Tools uses 2.3% battery in 48 hours and 1.5% CPU.

This of course per user cases. It depends on much work Power Tools is doing. The more messages your receive the more battery and CPU it will use because it has to blink the led and play the ringtone. Changing profile and wallpaper doesn't require much battery or cpu usage.

Actually I'm finding the non-headless version to be apparently a bigger battery user than either Hub++ or BeBuzz but I need to do more tests. And I haven't tested the headless version of Power Tools yet.

is it possible that Power Tools invoke some system services, for example while using Message Blocker, that could make battery consumption be considered as "System" under Device monitor data?

Just look at the Device Monitor and see the battery usage and see how much it uses.

Message Blocker function doesn't run all the time. It only activates when there are new messages arriving.

I'm aware and I do check the consumption in Device Monitor, just want to know if there was a possibility that some Power Tools functions are, in Device Monitor, being registered under "System", and not under "Power Tools". I bought Power Tools app - great job You've done - keep it up!
