    In the context of the thread response, software, I would presume that it is some sort of firewall to block unknowns from using your hotspot. I can only guess mind you cause I always thought that the BB would require to user selection to allow or deny the connection. I'm gonna search a bit cause I would like to know as well.

    Seems to be something to mask your connection so you can browse protected from others knowing who you are or where you are going.

    PS, I found many hits for hotspot shield, read a few, and this was generally the best in describing what I found.

    It's a vpn service which makes services like Netflix think you are located elsewhere. So say if you are in Canada you can use it to watch American Netflix. Or do I heat, it's a terrible piece of software on the pc
