Hi! What kind of app is this and how does it work?
I didn't hear anything about headless apps being available yet. This would be exciting if it's true!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Works really well headless. I wonder if it's the first out of the gates.

Really impressed with the headless function! This app is great for work, just flip your phone and mute all notifications and/or phone calls and/or music. Way quicker than going into settings and changing your profile, plus it's always running!

Too soon to tell, but doesn't seem to be affecting much. Looking in the App Manager, it sits idle until the phone is tilted. It seems like if you're walking with your phone, it might have some effect on battery life, but if your phone is left untouched, the app isn't really "running" or doing too much. I think the developer could probably do some tweaking down the line so that it only activates the app when the desired angle is reached by the device. At this point though, it seems to "wake up" whenever the phone moves, even though the tilt angle can be changed within the app. That doesn't seem to do anything for the headless capabilities, as the app wakes up at any angle, but only mutes things when the desired tilt angle is reached.

So is this using the "long-running" headless ability, where it can start at reboot without the UI ever being opened, and stay running indefinitely? I've been told that apps wouldn't be approved for the long-running capability prior to 10.2.1, so if this app is approved and uses that, I guess I was given wrong information. (And if that's the case, then I can push faster to get a long-running headless version of Battery Guru completed.)

Edit: the Flip Shush app's author confirms it is really long-running here: Flip Shush really is long-running headless app.

Battery Guru for BB10 tracks voltage, power, battery health. (Also on the PlayBook.) White Noise helps you sleep or concentrate.

I bought the Pro version to get the headless functionality, but I am disappointed...

On my Q10, when the phone is jiggled, even if it remains upright, the mute function becomes engaged for a second, then disengages. This means that when I walk and listen to music or podcasts the audio jumps and stutters while the muting goes on and off. Very annoying! The phone never approached anything close to the angle shown in the settings!

I had to quit using the app because of this problem! I hope a fix can be pushed out...
