Hi everybody,
the update seems to give a good improvement of the facebook app. But, is there a way to activate hub-notifications for the chat while having the news notifications deactivated? I'd just like to be informed, when someone sends me a text message via fb...

The update looks nice... So I'm traveling in Estonia this week. I got the update prompt, but BlackBerry World won't even open in this country?!

I get the following error "There was a connection problem. BlackBerry World must close."



When I open BlackBerry World on my Torch 9810 it tells me: "BlackBerry World is not currently available in your country. Please check BlackBerry.com/appworld for updates."

Am I out of luck until I return to the states?

I heard this update had profile and timeline photo update function from the app. Where is that?

Go to your pictures on your phone. On your chosen photo, long press for right side menu, choose 'set as' choose Facebook, voila!

Wouldn't share just upload the pic to Facebook and not actually set it as your pic profile?

It's the update I've been waiting for for a long time.

It would be nice if I didn't have to check the app itself though to see whether or not a person is still online for chat. While chatting from the hub there should be a green dot next to their name to denote whether they are online.

The only issue I'm having is "checking in" however it might be related to 10.2 leaked OS. Location setting for the app are on and for the device. Anyone else on 10.2 having this issue says "you don't have permission to access device location". Although when I log on using web browser I can "check in"

It won't "access device location". I'm running STL3 10.2.0.1047. Other apps can locate me.

The location issues are related to OS ver 10.2.0.1047 and not the app itself

Just saw this 2, a small issue to deal with based on the buttery smooth 10.2 OS

Is it just me, but when I am in the fb chat and I want to sent an attachment that is a picture..it says it's sending but doesn't go through..

Is anyone else having this problem?

It was working for me before but now it's not. Is it a fb server problem?

Hi VR6,

I've already done this. My point is, that they should have integrated this option into the native fb app. Additionally, I wish I could receive fb messages via BBHub without having to run the fb app or the sideloaded messenger in the background, just like it works with WhatsApp.

Yep they should def separate the two notifications.

This update is great so far. Pretty much brings it up to par with iOS and Android.

I think that it is an improvement but I wouldn't say that it is on par with the iOS and Android. In the legacy BB Facebook application, it was possible to add a location (with iOS and Android, you could do the same thing). With the BB 10 Facebook application, if you can't find the location, unfortunately with the new/current version, you still can't add a new location.

I just noticed my news feed seems strange. It used to display items by chronological order only. But since this update it seems to randomly show "popular/important" posts as well.
That drives me crazy on browsers, but at least there you can turn it off... other that that it works very well!
