I'm referring to the blackberry oem Facebook app. Has anyone noticed that their messaging contact list is gone? A few friends on other platforms have stated that fb was forcing them to use a separate messaging app, maybe not they've turned off in app support for messaging? If so it's about time blackberry overhaul their fb app or hand it over to fb to get front line support.

I got an email that stated they were getting rid of in app messaging and that we will soon need to use a separate app.

So yes, that's probably why they have turned it off..

Still available for me. I believe the change applies only to the iOS and Android platforms thus far.

The Facebook app on my Z30 refuses to update. My 9930's app for Facebook is working perfectly fine. I'm not sure what the issue is.

My feeds doesn't seem to load. Only some loads. After that nothing happens even if I swipe up.

I have noticed that sometimes messages are not coming through instantly or loading up immediately, but regularly it still works great for me.

I hope BlackBerry keeps its app working also for messages. I'm not really interested in installing a "specialised" messaging app for FB.

Likewise, there are several improvements which need to be made to the app, so I hope BlackBerry fixes these soon.

I have the chat off and just answer from the Hub or straight from the app. I did however turn the chat on to check what you mention, but it's looking fine to me.

With regards to the feeds, what works for me is to enter the FB page on the browser, set the Newsfeed to "Most recent" and in the app to "Top Stories". I know it's odd, but does the job!

Today I got my chat functionality back. I don't know if they realized they completely dropped chat support for BlackBerry users or if was a problem on my end. But I didn't do anything to try and fix it. I just started receiving chats. For the people saying theirs is working fine. Are you in North america?

Doesn't BlackBerry make our fb app? Fb doesn't want to make a native app for us, can they tell BlackBerry how to make theirs?
