Facebook is crap. It's not just the BlackBerry app, it's in general.

What I find so bizarre is how the app can work differently for everyone. I don't have any issues that a lot have mentioned here.
No problems with sending msg, notifications, news feed etc..

That sounds like less of a facebook app issue, and more a data issue.

That being said, yes, the facebook app IS subpar, but honestly, it's not too bad. It DOES work, at least for me.

And the BlackBerry devs have certainly been working on it to make it a lot better since it's release.

Back during my existence on facebook, I preferred the Android app to BlackBerry's, the traitor that I am. It had more crucial features... like stickers.

But this sounds like an issue with data connection, given the messages went through after toggling the data switch?

Which version of Facebook are you using?

I found the latest version in BlackBerry World fixes that issue.

I agree with that completely. I was in Indonesia 2 weeks ago and boy, everything seemed to suck as far as data connectivity was concerned. I could get full bar H+, but guess what, nothing would go through and then a few seconds later, it became SOS. I had tried Telkomsel, XL, Indosat, etc and they all pretty much suffered the same problem over there. For all the curses we heaped on AT&T here state side, I am sure glad connectivity is all excellent and stable again after I made it back here.
