    Just as the title says I have some contacts that I know are on WhatsApp but they don't show up when I try to write a new message. Also if I ask someone like them to write to me I only get the message as if from a phone number, despite having the same exact number in my contacts already.

    After updating the 10.2 from my carrier (previously using MR1), the same thing happened to me. About half of my contacts appear as phone numbers in WhatsApp (their name doesn't show).

    This also happened to me after I had installed MR1 but it corrected itself somehow or within a few days.

    In any event, I'm in the process of trying to get all my friends on WhatsApp to switch to BBM since BBM is now available on Android & iPhone so using WhatsApp (although simpler) is a bit redundant.
