So the idea is real simple. Notify Me will forward email and sms previews to your computer, as well as notifications of incoming phone calls.

Notify Me requires an app called Growl to be installed on your computer. Growl handles the pop-ups and has many customizations including themes. Growl is free on Windows/Linux but is a paid app on OSX.

There are also Growl apps available for iOS and Android, so you could send the notifications to one of them too!

Should be available in the next day or two.

Wifi or carrier network. If you choose to use carrier network you need to open up a port to the outside world on your router/firewall.

Its notifications only for now. No reply option. I will add BBM when I figure out how to do it...kind hit a roadblock there.

So if I am at work, where I can't open a port and don't have wifi then this won't work for me. Correct?

I think this should be baked into the BB10 OS since BB link has device to pc connectivity. But it a great tool.

I learned one thing in the last 5 years regarding Shao's apps. You buy them ! I don't even wanna know what the app does, I am 100% sure the app is awesome. Very few developers have apps like Shao. Now that the SDK Gold has been released, I am waiting for a headless Leave It On for my Q and my Z . Thanks, Shao, keep up the good work !

Leave It In will get your girl pregnant. I was talking about leave It On, one of the greatest apps ever created for the legacy devices. It lights up your screen everytime you get a message, controls the led color, and pop up notifications, all in one. Unbelievable app that was

Hahaha well played sir. I guess I deserved that. Ah didn't know about this app. I used Bebuzz back in my legacy days. We'll that does sound interesting especially the lighting up your screen bit. Makes sure one does not miss the notification. Thanks!

Probably not, unless you turn on development mode, use the 169. ip address and have BB link installed on your pc. I haven't tested that, but thats the only way I could see it working in that scenario.
