CIBC App?

Does anyone know if CIBC is making a native banking app for BB10 or are we going to be stuck with the old shortcut to the website app that we had to make do with on BB7?

CIBC is a horrible banking institution..... RBC is so much better and they didn't have their rating lowered last week either.

Right now only RBC and TD are on the list of Canadian banks making BB10 apps. At least according to the BlackBerry press release.

Can't find any UK banking apps. However, the Halifax online banking website works perfectly well anyway, so I'm not sure there's a need for an app.

yes im waiting for the barclays uk app. much easier than checking on website. hope barclays release for bb10 soon

Im very surprised that CIBC is not there already. Dont they have a partnership with RIM/BB for NFC payments? This is a HUGE inconvenience for me. I wrote an email to CIBC last night expressing my frustration, and i hope i get a positive reply soon.

I suggest you all do the same.

I'm patiently waiting for the rbc app. It was kind of crappy on the 9900 but it was better than nothing

I bookmarked the mobile Site to my homescreen. It works well. Pay bills , transfer etc. Just Google cibc mobile.

I just used the built in message feature in their online banking site in the "contact us" section.

I sideloaded the Android one and it seems to work fine for now.

yup that BAR file is in my list as well, check it in my signature and there are a bunch of android apps you can use.

I have the CIBC app running on my Z10. Android port. I think they will release something sooner than later though. They have too. They're Canadian!!

I've been using the android port since I got my z10 and for several months on my playbook.. works fine, but it's actually just a wrapper for the mobile site (same as it was om BB7) not sure if CIBC will release an actual 'app' as their mobile site is quite good. But i'm sure they will release a native launcher rather then the android port as some point soon enough.. also their mobile brokerage app, the cibc home advisor app and the nfc payments app.

It would be nice to have their mobile payement app available for the Z10 and more carriers! Right now it's only available for the BB 9900 on Rogers.

I sent them the question through their website, can"t wait to see what their answer is...

I have a friend who does quality testing on CIBC's apps for all the mobile platforms they support. He said they will be releasing one, but not sure of the timing. Regardless, it's a big Canadian bank, little doubt they'd release something eventually.

I side loaded the cibc app and found that it was basically the same as the mobile site, so I just use the mobile site instead because it's faster
