Box 10mb upgrade
Am I right in thinking that we were supposed to get an upgrade to 10mb when you sign up to box as an early adopter? If so I never got mine and I don't know how to raise it to them.

Did you make sure you signed up on www.box.net/bb10 ? Also it's 10GB most likely you made a typo but I thought I'd say it for others who might not know.

You can trash that account and register for a new one without loosing your email address, better yet, get 50GB instead of 10GB, this is how I did it:
Login to your Box.com account and click on the cog on the top right corner and click on "Account Settings"
2- On the middle of the page you will see your email address under "Login Information", click on "Add more emails"
3- Go to 10minutemail.com (disposable 10 min email address) and copy the address assigned to you.
4- Paste the address on the box.com page, in the field for the new address and click on "save"
5- Refresh the 10minutemail until you see the confirmation email, open it and click on the link to confirm.
6- Go back to Box.com "Account Settings" page, hover over the newly added email address and click on "Make Primary"
7- Hover over your real email address and click on "Remove"
8- Log Off and forget about that account!
9- Go to this promo link from Dell and sign up for 50GB using your now available real email address (thanks to CJH_ for this link): https://www.box.com/signup/o/dell_50gb_give_get
10- Reconfigure your Box.com app in your Z10 and enjoy your free 50GB !!!!!
Edit: If you have important data on that account, make sure you have a local copy of that data and delete all the data from the account before logging off, after you have made the change on the primary email address (between 7 and 8).Last edited by Lumute; 02-18-2013 at 12:33 PM.

Wow!! Thanks for the response guys. 50gb is more than it ever need, but I'll get it nonetheless
And yes it was a typo, I meant 10gb.

no worries I know exactly what you mean, I was on relax mode too but the wife wants me to do all kinds of stuff around the house...

Your welcome!, I originally had 10GB and opened a ticket with the URL asking them to upgrade me to 50, took them 2 days and the answer was that the promo was for Dell employees only (which is not true)...
Yup, as long as you remove your email from the old account you can do it right away! I did the whole thing with time to spare before the 10 min mail expired...

Account Information
Hey guys,
When I signed up for the 50 GB free account .... I noticed the following in the Account Setting page ...
Account type: Personal
Storage (used/total): 11.5MB / 50.0GB 0% used
Bandwidth used: 0B of 10.0GB
Any idea what they mean by "Bandwidth used: 0B of 10.0GB"? Thanks - 02-18-2013, 11:19 PM #17
Probably they limit the amount of upload/download traffic you can generate in a month.
So I'm guessing you can't just blast the account to the gills with the first 50GB of data 5 minutes after you open the account. Well, if you had a connection that fast..
(Could just be download traffic though. "Free" file hosting providers don't seem to mind you getting all your stuff onto their network - the more you keep there the harder it is for you to leave..)Data expands to fill all available space. Traffic increases to use all available bandwidth. - 02-20-2013, 03:58 PM #20
