I just stumbled over the Passbook apple offers - who ever used it knows that that is an awesome thing.

    For everyone else short intro:

Passbook is connected to food and airline apps for example and just copies the essentials to it.
This is for example my Lufthansa QR code and the time and seat number.

the app makes it easy to get quick access to you tickets that have an QR code - you dont have to search for a mail with an attachment etc. . .

I hope that BB knows about the power of Passbook and builds something similar or at least puts an advanced version of it in the "redesigned" BB travel app.

Blackberry needs something like the apple passbook-img_00000246.jpg

True I agree but it should offer something simple as it for flight tickets

My only wish I had was a way to have the electronic boarding passes get saved into the trip, that or be able to check in from within the app

Actually Print to Go is similar to Passbook also in terms of utility.

Never knew print to go had that option. Kinda cool, but would be better if BlackBerry travel had the ability to do the whole qr code thing as well. I hate having to go to the browser to look at the boarding pass and/ or the file manager to check out the screen shot.

    You got it

I have to open my mail every time I need to show the qr code.

A nice and futuristic integration like apple did would be appreciated!

I used passbook on 4s. It was Ok not many apps linked to it so I still had to bounce to those apps for the gift cards and reward programs. Just give me the Starbucks and DD apps so I can get my gift cards back on my phone.

I am a frequent traveller and after having tried e-boarding passes I have gone back to using printed boarding passes. I don't see the advantage in handing my phone to a security agent, customs agent, airline boarding person as opposed to using paper. I have to stop what I am doing on my phone and switch to the specific app. And why do I want these people putting their (potentially) grimy hands on my phone?
