Is anyone using it? Does it have the issues that the previous update had?

Just grabbed it about 10 minutes ago.
    Thanks for the heads up!
Sometimes I get update notifications late if I don't just go and check myself.

I haven't had much of a chance to use it yet, so can't confirm any bugs... though I didn't really have any issues with the previous version.

My app updates always seem to appear overnight unless I manually check.

i am afraid to update my maps. I use my maps for 100% of my travel here in Houston. I'm still very new and maps save me time and money driving around in confusion.

For the traffic feature, where is the key for the colours? Meaning, what does each colour mean? I can't find a simple note to tell me. Where should I be looking for this?

Download waze. It's better than BlackBerry maps.

This update doesn't crash like the last one. I don't understand why people crap on Blackberry Maps. Doesn't have walking or transit but I personally don't need either feature.

Example. This past weekend was riding in a cab to another city 30 miles away and he tried using his GS3 for directions. He couldn't get the map portion up and it kept reverting back to a search. The whole time I'd already mapped the route with estimated time and we eventually both just followed directions from my Z10 via the "crappy" Blackberry Maps.

    True story.

Crashed on my Z10. I reloaded the 808 version from the 1443 leak and Maps ran fine. I took the update again and restarted my phone. Same result. I again reloaded the last working Maps from 1443 and will now just call it good.

Incorrect. Waze blows. Unless you are one of those instagramtwitter idiots who insists on broadcasting every second (and location) of your life to the world.

The new maps update seems to be working fine.

Has it always shown little blue arrows for the direction of traffic? For example, on one way streets, and medians.

After the fiasco of the last BB Maps update, I would like to see CB pipe in here and talk about this latest update. I for one will not update until I feel confident the new update will not crash. I'm surprised that CB is so silent on this update. CB....how about a comment or a report on the update?

    FYI
Latest OS leak (10.2.0.1443) which features BlackBerry Maps version 10.2.0.360
includes landscape support. (Not sure which version introduced but I think it has been in leaks for quite some while)

IMHO totally true, it should've been there since day one.

    Yup...

There is another guy on here that always argues with me that landscape isn't so great due to the screen resolution/size. I always point out that GPS devices are always landscape but he is right that the resolution is different.

He has a point for vertical navigation. It is perhaps easier to "look down the road" for your next turn. However, I uphold my argument that in terms of browsing a map, that is still best done in landscape. I find it extremely awkward pinching and flicking through a map in vertical mode. Just saying.

Lastly, I believe in universal orientation support anyway, so in my book, everything should be rotatable. And, not to mention, I cannot fathom why we need 10.2 for this simple addition to functionality.

Unless I'm wrong .....the following legend applies. When traffic road is green ...all good. When its yellow .....light to busy traffic ...when its red ....full traffic - avoid if you can !!!!

Hope that clears it !!! Safe driving ...safer texting.

I am like you. I am not updating until I hear the coast is clear.

I did not have an issue with the last update but I do use my maps fairly often and do not want to risk it crashing.
