Using your PC go to blackberry.com
Cell Phones, Smartphones & Mobile Phones from BlackBerry.com --> click on app & Media
or
https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/

Log in using your blackberry ID.
Search for the blackberry Maps and click on download

It should push the previous version of the maps app to your phone.

My bb maps app is now working.

Awesome. I would think somebody (blaze, adam or even kevin) would post this on the crackberry.com . This issue is extremely frustrating and the post on crackberry is telling folks an update is out there go get it (with a link to the forum mentioning some people have issue). A new post needs to say dont download for now!

I upgraded to 10.1.0.4828. How do I update to the new maps? The update is no longer offered on BlackBerry World.

BlackBerry maps now working for me. I was on 10.1.0.2019 loaded via ota and maps would not load. I wiped my phone last night, reloaded 2019 and restored my phone from backup and maps work just fine. Even, Skype works without crashing.
I suspect that my app crashing problems stemmed from a leaked 10.1.0 I loaded earlier this year.

Thanks. Appworld said it was going to send me an email with instructions but it just opened my BlackBerry World on my Z10 and loaded a version which works again!

Didn't need a pc to do this. I put the browser in developer* mode, logged onto BlackBerry World, browsed to the maps app under My Apps, which showed .805 installed. Clicked install which opened bb world in normal browser window and installed .790.

BlackBerry maps is back to working and has all of my places saved.

Worked for me too. It's a sad state of affairs when a Blackberry made app update screws up a very important function for customers.

I've given up on Map...and went straight to BeMaps Pro, it seems to have more functionality ?

The problem is how do I get rid of Map...can't take it off...and it's useless as it closes as soon as you open it.
