Has anyone else noticed how inaccurate Beweather Pro is V BlackBerry Weather? Here in Dumfries, Scotland it's really windy and stormy outside but Beweather Pro says the wind is only 5 Mph.

Where BlackBerry Weather shows as 37mph which is more like it! )

Where do they get their sources? I was in Mexico last week, and 5 different sites had various differences. I imagine it's all where the data is collected, not some math error.

It is not the software, such as BeWeather Pro V or Blackberry Weather. It all has to do with what weather station it references.

Check your settings to see what station the software is looking at.

It may be a station such as at a local airport or in many cases private individual homes who have their own stations.

Depending on where the station is located the weather report may be different and that is what you are seeing, not the software itself.

Thanks for the replies. The Beweather Pro one is set to a station less that a mile away..the Blackberry one says my town name but I can not find an exact station is the settings. Whatever one it is must be more accurate than the one close to me!

BeWeather uses Weather Underground

BlackBerry Weather uses Accuweather.

for me, I find Accuweather more accurate than what I get with BeWeather.
