My wife has upgraded her q10 to 10.3.1 and now her fully charged alert doesn't work either, the same issue as I was having on my 10.3 passport.

    I'm sorry for my delay.

I still have to investigate, but I guess BlackBerry has fixed the bug in 10.3.1 which they have introduced in 10.3.0 - but I need to double check.

Have you had a chance to investigate this as the charging full alert still doesn't work? I am on the latest official release 10.3.1.1779 on my passport?

I get Hub notification "BaSA: Battery fully charged" when BaSA is in Active Frame. When not active, no Hub notification.

Also, notification occurs when charge current goes zero, which can be half-hour after battery % goes 100.

An issue that has been in the past several versions of BaSA and OS: With BaSA active, fully charge the battery. Date and time values of both the unplugged and charged indicators will be updated to present. Close BaSA and then reopen. The indicators will now show values of the prior capture.

Thanks for this, I eventually got the green led 45 minutes after it showed 100%.

Do I have to leave it on for this extra 45 for the health of my battery or should Basa report as fully charged earlier?

I prefer to start my day with my phones battery fully charged, so I charge it while I sleep. Consequently, the battery almost never undergoes a full discharge-charge cycle. I have not yet experienced unsatisfactory degradation in battery performance after almost two years of service.

According to my Samsung notebook and the battery conservation settings you would do your battery a favor to charge it only to 80% and not to 100%. Since 10.3.0 the BlackBerry devices are showing 100% a lot earlier and when unplugged also longer as before. I'm not sure why they changed it to this, but maybe something psychological.

I checked it again using a Passport with firmware 10.3.0.908 and a Classic with firmware 10.3.1.1154 - it works over here but as said by someone else already, it considers the battery as fully charged when the charge current (power) stops, and not when the system says 100% battery level. So the green light or the notification is "the real" information when the system really stops to charge the battery.
A additional note, the setting for this is by default off, so in case it is not working check again your settings and in case it is still not working please include in your message your current firmware and your device.

I have currently sadly not much time and I mentioned in the BlackBullet thread why, but I will try to do my best to answer as soon as possible.
I hope to get able to deliver a great new feature to BaSA later this year.

Thanks for the reply. Firstly I hope everything goes well with the flat move. As far as this is concerned it is now working if I leave it on until the current power is zero, today it was only a could of minutes after the device monitor showed 100% so I am happy with that. Look forward to the new feature in a few months.

And this is from the technical aspect also the most exact moment. If it stopped charging it is fully charged.

I can understand why BlackBerry changed the behavior and shows the battery longer as 100% fully charged... from a marketing aspect it doesn't deliver a good feeling if the device jumps 2 minutes after unplugging to 99% and is no longer fully charged... but

Look forward to the new feature in a few months.
Me, too. I have already a few ideas.

Hi developer your app is great, we all know that.

    Hope you can help me

As you can see on the Screenshot, I have an app or something, but I don't know what, what is using a lot of Cpu. Also the battery drains down.
How can I check what is that?

    Thanks

Your phone's Device Monitor might help. (Settungs->App Manager->Device Monitor)

Then look along the BOTTOM. Select the CPU tab and check what's happening. Also Battery Tab (opens in that mode).

How long has this been an issue? I also had SYSTEM burning through the battery at one time. Occasionally, it still can take 20% over the course of a day. When it was really bad I loaded a newer OS and that generally fixed the issue for me. I'm now on 10.3.1.1784 and it generally is okay with an occasional SYSTEM taking more power.

I'm still not clear about what happens in SYSTEM. It is a rather vague term. How is your connection to your carrier? If it is weak that can increase power drain on the battery.

    What OS are you using?

You can start a temporary email or bbm or text message and type

    myver (then press the spacebar)

The phone will fill you your model and OS version.

When have you flashed the new firmware?

It might need (depending on the stuff and apps on your device) several hours / days until everything settled again at your device. At example are all images indexed afterwards (which also happens in the most cases if you used your SD card in the mass storage mode) - sometimes very power consuming and should also happen within the "system".
