I was going to be travelling this month and wanted to know the best WiFi calling app out there.. Skype does not work for me, it is very laggy and it took me 20 minutes to make 1 call yesterday. I had to restart the device a few times...

any recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a VoIP provider you can try Taki, awesome app.

Ya, Taki is great! I have it installed. No lag and no problems in coming or out going. But you will also need a sip provider . I use Sipgate or Callcentric. You get a free number from them, then use the "credentials" to input to the Taki app. I have it installed on my new Q10. I also went one step, though much more complicated to set up-I got subscribed to Pbxes.org where I can add as many sip providers as I want and access whichever one I want via Pbxes.org with just a simple prefix before the phone number. But, to make it easy and simple I recommend either Sipgate or Callcentric, input either credentials into Taki and you are set to go. Outbound calls via Sipage or Callcentric is 2.1c/minute and incoming is free. But, if you want totally free wifi calls then go for the Pbxes.org setup although lots of work is needed to set it up.

    Hey there!

I signed up to callcentric.com and downloaded the Taki client. I keep getting a registration error. Must be setup.
If you have time could you describe (or screen cap) the settings you use in Taki with your callcentric sip?
