BB10 twitter app

I really really love what blackberry is doing with BB10, but am I the only one disappointed with the native twitter app I hate that when I click on a picture it opens in the browser. I hope they fix that soon. Everything else about bb10 is awesome though

my twitter app doesnt even detect hyperlinks it just thinks it regualar text in tweets

yah that happens to me sometimes as well. Another thing that pi$$es me off is that sometimes the profile pic wont match up with who is actually sending the tweet. Its so confusing if your not paying attention

the twitter app is brutal. mine doesn't refresh automatically. i have to close and re-open the app. i hope a new bug fix comes out pronto. very disappointing. interesting that each of us are having different issues, considering that mine detects hyperlinks just fine.

I agree with the sentiment that BB10 is great ... am so loving it.
Yes, a few bugs and quirks but its young and fresh so I'm patient and understand as an early adopter.
I also agree that Twitter Native app is awful!

I want to share a tweet to my FB status ...
I press and hold the tweet, select share, select the app I want to share it on
but when the windows for the specified app comes up the only things that appears is the header, not the body, nothing!
Can't figure it out.

Same for others?

I don't have a working native twitte app, u have the account duplicated in the Hub but cannot remove the duplicate as it's not showing in settings. My only solution might be a device wipe.

Anyone got any suggestions?

I recommend using Neatly. You can find it in BlackBerry World. That is what I am using until Blaq comes out.

I have experienced similar issues with the native Twitter app.

I thought I remembered Blaq confirming for BB10 since the dev is pretty active in the BlackBerry dev community.

I downloaded Neatly this morning and so far so good. Similar feel and options to UberSocial I was using so I guess I will use this until UberSocial comes along (if it does...). One problem I am encountering today though is everything on the Z10 is tied back to the native Twitter app as a default. If I snap a pic and then share with 'Twitter' it automatically pops open the native Twitter app even though I deleted my account from it. Anyone know how to disassociate 'everything' from pointing to the native app as a default?

I looked around settings for permission or the like but can't seem to find anything.

The twitter app is indeed bad. I've resorted to using Neatly. It's not bad but needs work.

That is not a feature I use but Neatly app told me they are hoping to submit an update this week to the review team that would include integration with BBM, BB share platform, more features, Pocket, Instapaper, etc.

Many problems with the native Twitter app:
1. Cannot read hyperlinks
2. Syncs old mentions in hub (they keep reappearing even after deleting)
3. Avatar mismatch with names when loading.

To me, it is the biggest app fail of BB10. I hope there is an update soon
