No Instagram, Netflix, Hulu, Temple Run, HBO Go, Pandora, Uber, Google Maps, or Dropbox??? Those are some pretty big gaps! I have a 9900 and have been on BB since the original Pearl (plus have my company employees) and I am just tired of not being able to do everything on my phone that I could do with iOS or Android. I think these are too big of gaps... What other apps are missing and what do you think of these gaps?

I saw DropBox on the prerelease home screens, not sure what happened between then and now. Pretty basic app to have, it's the de facto standard for cloud storage. No MS products or Google isn't entirely a surprise, but there was no mention of the native navigation ability or mapping. Glaring omissions!

They said they have 1000 of the top apps so I don't think he was going to stand there and list them all for you

with that said, Netflix and Instagram I would conclude are not available because those are 2 you would mention if you had them

Weren't RIM and KIK in a legal battle? Wouldn't hold my breath for that one.

Lync I can see coming though.

temple run will be there. that was announced at BB Jam americas. you can always try sideloading as well. I'm sure google maps on the browser will work as well. Spotify should be there since it has been on previous blackberries.

As well guys he did not say all the app that were coming he only said a few so just wait and see. Remember the big one was Skype and people were saying all I need is Skype forget about the others and now everybody is complaining about apps like Netflix that a lot of people on the forums said was useless. Just be pleased with the work that RIM has done and remember this is just 1.0!!!

Supposedly lots of apps yet to be announced but would've been sweet if all of these were officially announced today.

Skype, Whatsapp, and Netflix, and Instagram were always the BIG ones. Netflix wanted nothing to do with Blackberry even when they offered to make the app themselves. Are they making their own it's possible with the API's but only they know what's going on..

This is only day 1 of the official BB10 platform, just give it some time.... Either developers are still working away or will be using BB10 in the future.

I also was expecting a bit more than what they delivered. I was expecting some missing apps but not this many.

Also Kevin screwed the pooch on that Instagram post and has to get all technical about as long as it's released before the end of the world I was still right non sense.

Dropbox is on BB10. BlackBerry rep was at my job today (Best Buy Mobile) and had a Verizon Z10. It had an icon that said something like "connect to dropbox"

After signing in it pulls in all of your dropbox info and seems to have the ability to store the dropbox content right on the phone like the desktop application. You can then copy or move all file types between the device and Dropbox.

Google maps you can always side load, it works well on the playbook so I would imagine it will work even better on the z10. But it's petty much confirmed instagram is coming. One if the tech blogs mentioned something like the devs were testing and deciding if they were going to make it an android port or native. What I would really want though is a proper evernote app, like on android or ios. The playbook one sucks hard. I can't believe they even released it like that.

It looks like a Box, Dropbox, and Evernote support is built into the OS. They've done a good job of integrating things directly into BB10.

Definitely need Lync (BB7 had the best OCS/Lync client I've used) and would love to see SkyDrive.
Maybe BlackBerry can do a two for one deal with Microsoft.

For me the big one that is missing is UberSocial. This is one of the most popular BB apps anyway, yet there is no version at launch for BB10.
