    Note that any app that will show the battery % on the home screen has to run in an active frame. That's to say the app must be open. This will be the case until BBRY rel;eases the appropriate APIs for developers to tie into that home screen function. I've seen notes from some developers stating they will be releasing a free upgrade to their apps once the new APIs are available.
