    I don't have a password on my phone and I would like to launch apps and call people directly from lockscreen.

    And if that is done, you would come back complaining that apps are opening by itself when in your Jean pocket. Lockscreen is supposed to be what it is, a screen that shows up after the phone is locked.

    i get it's not for some people, but i would definitely like it. Shazam for example. I wouldn't have as many things on my lockscreen speed dial as my regular speed dial

    The lock screen is not accessible by developers. With or without a passlock. Once you close the Lockscreen then you can use the keyboard shortcuts.
