People do realise that Google Maps is a very unique service available to Google only. There is functionality there that nobody can replicate, such as Apple. Google maps has been in development for over 10 years.

In the US/California, absolutely live BlackBerry Maps, it has been a life saver around the Bay Area and Sacramento area. Versus using my passengers iPhone -Apple Maps, Siri, Google Maps- when you're turning street by street BlackBerry Maps has not pissed me off yet.
Google Maps and Apple Maps has almost always gotten me and my passengers lost over even worse, nearly into accidents because the directions are so last minute, yes both are good at finding what's around and yes they do look visually compelling, but neither application I would like as my everyday navi.

The only time I can recall BlackBerry Maps failing me is near the park in San Francisco when the GPS would lose where we were.

Don't worry, Google will soon phase out Latitude to replace it with some dumbed down Google+ feature
    That's what I'm fully expecting

I don't mind BlackBerry maps but I do miss Google latitude.

Hahahaha, turns out that I was right!
Google has just announced that it will be closing Latitude next month.
I wasn't thinking it was THIS soon.

What Google will kill next? I hope it's Google+, so they will finally stop killing other products in order to try to make it more popular

Probably Drive, Youtube and Search next, if Reader was any indication.
