Seems like a huge amount of new functionality can be brought to the BB10 platform with these new sets of tools (beta out next month). BB10 apps are about to get a lot richer and more engaging.

The only question for me is will I be able to sideload GPS based apps with the updated runtime, so far I've sideloaded some apps, But I had no success with gps-based apps such as apps for metro or taxi, and I wonder if it be possible with the Jelly Bean runtime?

The description for the "Jelly Bean Android 4.2.2 Runtime" is:
We are working to upgrade the Android Runtime from Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 to Jelly Bean 4.2.2. The goal is to support all current features and APIs available on the Android runtime today and evaluate new features and APIs for inclusion, such as fragments, embedded fragments and the animation framework.
Also, scheduled for August there is an "Altimeter" feature and the description for that is:
The Altimeter APIs provide sensor pressure readings, temperature readings, and current altitude.
It seems that they are trying to support everything they can.
