Is your search for "App for" only picking up titles or maybe in the descriptions also. Most apps are going to say what they are for in their description.

I really don't it is that much. They are a lot, but I don't think they span more than 60K-70K

It is not doing a search based on "app for" (i.e. those words used consecutively). I think the search is looking for either of those words so as you can probably guess, the word "for" or "app" is in a lot of the descriptions. I tested "hot dog" and saw that I got "hot pics" and "dog recipes" etc.

Actually, if you just do a search on "app", I get 122,949.
