    Default Using PlayBook Charger?

I just wanted to know if would be ok to use the PlayBook charger with the Z10? Been using it with 9900. Would it cause any issues?

Works fine on my 9900, IDK why Z10 would be different.

nope shouldn't be an issue at all, the battery on the Z10 is smaller then the 9900 while the playbooks is even bigger so it'll just charge faster

I've been using it since I got the phone on Wednesday. No issues so far and it works great.

My old bb torch 9800 and Playbook chargers are of different volts out and amp out. Heed this, for the Z10 is also different. Since using my Playbook charger for the 9800, my battery became very hot and runs dead quickly. Again, heed this, for the chargers ARE different.

The Crackberry store is selling a OEM premium high capacity wall charger that looks exactly like the Playbook charger. Therefore, I'm inclined to think this is not an issue since it is being marketed as for the Z10.

Lol, yes it works just fine. It is the same thing, but charges faster. The block is larger than the phone one is all so it is able to charge faster.

USB is always +5 volts. Amps are a measure of current capacity (draw). I have used my Playbook charger with my 9800 for months with no problems and battery (original, nearly 3 years old) is still good for 2 days.

Charging is managed by the phone, e.g. current limiting. In older BB phones more current would be drawn in a fast charge mode if there was more current available. I do not know if that is the case with the Z10, but I did notice that charging with the Playbook charger was not as fast as I expected.

Yes, it will work fine. It is not dangerous to the phone or battery. Will charge it quicker then the regular charger.
