The Otterbox case is UGLY and makes the Z10 look like a brick. Plus every device I have had that had a destroyer case on it from Otter box wasn't very good touch was because of the plastic they use to protect the screen.

Yeah, i'll pass. I'd pick up a Commuter case as it has protected my 9930 very well the past year and a half. I had picked up a Defender case and the rubber was too stretched/gummy/annoyingly worthless for my taste. Also a holster is definitely NOT for me.

Just got the defender case, finally found a store that has stock. I'm using it as I type this. It actually makes it easier to type with 2 thumbs. No problems with bezel gestures. I recommend it.S5

I bought an Otterbox Defender about 5 days ago and I want to share my experience and observations on this. Swiping up from the bottom now requires several attempts before being successful and require a great deal of patience. My phone now operates at a much warmer temperature and battery life is nowhere close to what it used to be. Now i'm not getting a full day on a single charge and before it was going all day with relative ease everything being equal.

My Otterbox is perfectly fine. I did remove the built in screen protector though, I've already got an anti glare protector on. My z10 is just as responsive and swipes work just as fine as the phone did with no case. Personally I have no idea where the negative comments come from, the case is fine and built really well.

It has the magnet and if you flip the phone and put it in the holster backwards it will put the Z10 in standby - of course your screen would be exposed and it would fall out of holster in about 2 sec. If you put it in the right way the magnet is too far from phone and has no effect. If you look at the 9900 otterbox you'll see they moved magnet closer to screen...how does this pass any sort of testing. I love and need the toughness of this case but it needs a re-work badly.
