BES 10 and Small Business Server
Just got off the phone with BlackBerry support, they claim BES 10 will install on top of Microsoft Small Business Server but they don't have any official documentation stating this. What kind of crap is that? LOL
I have been thinking, has anyone gotten Fusion Mobile 6 installed on SBS before? It looks like BES 10 is technically FM 6.2 as all the documents mention the BES 10 service being version 6.2, 4.8 version lower than 10!

Correct, BES10 is a rebranding of Mobile Fusion and a 0.1 update.
They don't have docs because it is not a testing and certified configuration. It may well work given that it is Win2008 underneath, but they won't say anything for sure. It's the same sort of situation they used to have with virtual servers - it used to actually work on all, but they only supported/documented certain products/versions as that is what had been standards tested. - 02-09-2013, 06:11 AM

I actually found a few people on SBS Diva's (Susan Bradley) mailing list who have attempted to install BES10 on SBS 2011 and have found there are issues with getting it to work properly, issues related to BES10. Also one of BBRY's techs told my colleague that BES10 will work on SBS but there is currently no documentation BBRY can release, so it sounds like they are working on it right now.

We have successfully deployed BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 on Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard. The only caveat is TCP/IP version 6 must be disabled.

As Microsoft Gold Partner I can say that many people have disabled IPv6 in SBS 2011 and have failed. Sure the server works for a certain amount of time but after that it's hosed until IPv6 is enabled again. Instead of breaking a system that an organization relies on for its own weling being I would recommend to reinstall BES10 onto a separate box, at least until BRRY releases some documentation on how to properly install it on SBS which I do know they have but won't release as its still being tested.
Another thing to think about is when the server does eventually tank, and it will, CSS won't help you until you enable IPv6 again.
Thanks for the bit of info that IPv6 is the cause from what you have explored!

I know it works.
Likely the people who have been trying to install it and had to disable IPv6 are missing a service pack or something isn't working right. I have installed on 5 different instances of SBS 2011 so far and not one had any issues. So I don't know.
