Its already available to the people who download it with the 60 day license, but I don't see any Service Pack verison of it, so I wonder if we'll need to install it over top of our existing setup?

Do those of us in the US have to wait until carriers release the OS, or am I just impatient? It tells me that it's not available for download to the US for regulatory reasons.

I just downloaded it, and I'm in Canada. I'm going to install it now on top of my existing BES 10.0 installation and see if it recognizes that this is an upgrade. It's a virtual machine and I've already snapshotted it (backed it up) so I can always back out if things go bad.

Trial download but theoretically it's the same software. I'll just use my existing CALs, etc., if prompted.

I get this when trying to install the trial on top of my existing installation...

"The setup application detected that a blackberry management studio instance is already installed on this computer. If you want to install the blackberry enterprise service 10 software on this computer, you must first remove the existing blackberry management studio instance and then run the setup again..... "

I read that in the release notes...but Management Studio is a no-brainer to setup...so easy to remove/reinstall.

Ah, you've saved me some aggravation probably. Guess we'll have to wait for a Service Pack?

Gawd, I can't believe I'm saying this (I'm usually not so impetuous), but I'm with you. I didn't read NoAhB0Dy's post all the way through. If it's just Management Studio that has to be re-installed then yes, I'll give it a try too.

Basically you can only update BDS6.2 if it is stand-alone...ie, no Management Studio or UDS on same server.

@NoAhB0Dy: I already have BDS and UDS installed on separate servers. I've just uninstalled BlackBerry Management Studio and am proceeding with the installation of the trial package. It's already prompted me to upgrade my existing installation so all looks good so far. I'm sure no one's waiting with baited breath to see how it goes, but I'll let y'all know anyway once I'm done.

By the way, you need Microsoft .NET framework 4.0 installed. You can install it after starting the BES 10.1 launcher and retrying the installation but there it is.

So where are you finding the non trial downloads? Anything I can locate, even though it doesn't say it is the trial, ends up taking me to the download page where I can only select the trial.....

So what is the order now to stopping and starting BES 10.1 since you no longer have the router service?

I may be wrong but I think the trade up is from non BES10 to BES10 licenses
