Default Using Sony Ericsson x10 on bell??

Ok I hope someone with good knowledge of this can help me. I currently have a Storm1 with $30/mth unlimited email and data. Is it possible to buy an unlocked sony ericsson xperia x10 and slip my sim card into it and run on Bell's HSPA network with my unlimited BB data plan? In other words, would Bell know I'm using a different phone and can I use it on the HSPA network? I wanna keep the unlimited because I do need it.

Thanks!

The data option would not work. A BB option doesn't work on other phones.

i've been using an x10 on and off for the last month or so with my employee line blackberry data plan i have with my bell 9700. data works fine, i just had to input the PDA APN settings manually into the x10. can't confirm whether you'd pay per use for the data though because my plan is internal and not billed in the same way.
one thing you need to know is that the sim cards from the CDMA dual-mode/world-edition phones don't have the ability to access bell's HSPA network. they only work when you're roaming overseas in a country without a CDMA provider. just go buy a SIM for $5, activate it on your number, and keep your old plan the same.

Hi,

i just got my X10 yesterday and I can assure that it works just fine, both voice and data.
you will have to setup a new APN and you'll be all set to go

How to configure my mobile phone or smartphone for the Bell Mobility HSPA network : Configure browser settings

goto SETTINGS-->MOBILE NETWORKS-->ACCESS POINT NAMES, then create a new APN and enter the info from the Bell page

hope this helps

The xperia x10 won't get froyo. Bell stocks the htc legend and it will get froyo (android 2.2) before christmas.
If you want android that's the way to go on bell.
