Default StockTwits poster claims Bell ending relationship with BlackBerry

Okay, I am not trying to start any crazy rumours, but a poster on StockTwits claims he works for Bell and that they are not going to sell BlackBerry any more due to BlackBerry being unwilling to buy back unsold inventory.

Please, can anyone confirm either that this guy is full of sh** or correct? It would be very bad news if true. Of course with the backlash that Rogers received with the z30 fiasco, I can not see Bell getting much love with a decision like that.

And I'm not sure any company buys back unsold inventory ever. It's up to Bell to manage their business properly and if they bought too many phones, it's on them. They can't expect the manufacturer to buy stuff back from them. That's ridiculous.

Not sure if this will work: http://stocktwits.com/message/19640622

StockTwits is a live stream message board for day traders and investors. This was one of the discussions that came up on the $bbry stream.

Definitely not true for corporate as bell is our device provider at work and we just added 35 lines....can't see them making this decision for corporate. consumer maybe but not corporate.

Something this big would be all over the place and not just coming from a retail store worker. Not sure if it's true or not but I have my doubts given the only source to discuss it so far is a Bell store employee.

Exactly, but at times, where there is smoke...

The problem with StockTwits is that you don't know who is a paid basher or some with actual info...either way he should be fired for disclosing unannounced market moving information (it would drop the stock) or he should be fired for lying and putting Bell in a bad and potentially liable light.

Sounds to me like StockWit guy should change his name to DimWit.

City of Waterloo just signed a multi million dollar deal for city of Waterloo, Home of Blackberry for a multi year contract to supply and use BlackBerry

To be fair, the waterloo deal has little to do with it though it is great to see their commitment

They signed with Bell. Why would Bell turnaround and now stop selling the devices? Silliness.

My z30 is on bell, too, but that does not mean they will continue to make further sales. I still don't believe it, but you never know.

I work at Bell myself. No news on that at all. Albeit, I just work at a store but I do have contact with a Blackberry rep on a regular basis and usually he'll update me with news
