Sporadic Floods of Emails Kickstarted by other BIS Activity

I've noticed something interesting the last couple of days. I don't know how long this has been going on, but sometimes when I web browse or use BBM or anything else which uses BIS I will get a flood of emails....emails that have no doubt been queued for a while, but which I don't receive until the Internet's been kickstarted by other activity. Also, yesterday (Saturday, December 31 2009) for about 3 hours in the afternoon,I lost Internet connectivity (data, obviously) even though the BlackBerry icon was present beside my coverage indicator which should mean that BIS is connected. I called Bell support and they recommended a battery pull which, magically, worked.

I received over 200 old emails (from oct-nov) today all in one shot. Wonder what's causing this .
