Lightbulb SPC Warranty

Hi everyone,
I have a blackberry bold 9000 and pay $7 a month for the extra SPC smartphone coverage plan. My phone has some physical damage and I was wondering if I could go in to a Bell store to get a replacement and get a 9700 instead for some extra cash...? would that be possible? Or can I only get another 9000?

Default SPC Warrenty

I have the $7.00 per month warrenty as well......I was told that you could not use this plan for an upgrade....in other words any replacement would be the same model you have now(possibly a refurbished model). Also there is a $150.00 fee to replace the device. I guess I can see their point....they frown on people using this warrenty/insurance to simply get a new phone.

Unfortunately according to the terms of the SPC from Asurion. If there is any signs of physical or liquid damage, there is automatically $150 charge for the replacement. There is no way of getting a different phone unless the phone they are replacing is out of stock and no longer being produced. With the SPC the upside is you don't get a refurbished unit a brand new unit without the box.

As well the Bell Store would not do anything for you as you would have to call the 1-800 number provided by them.
