Regarding the "42 Mbps Speed Upgrade"

Was just messing around on the bell site and I noticed that for $10 a month I could basically double the speed of my data transfer. I took a screenshot of it because in the description it says I can tether on my laptop for some pretty impressive speeds.

So my stupid question is does this speed difference apply to mobile browsing too? I don't plan on doing a whole lot of tethering (don't want to go over the 1GB) but I sure wouldn't mind getting some extra speed out of my mobile browsing (which I'm doing constantly)

Also it says that it is currently available in "select areas", so I was wondering if anyone had information on where it's available at the moment and where they will be getting it in the future.

no because your device isn't capable of those speeds.

so that is why they say laptop in the description.

Yeah I realized it was more for air cards and not phones or tethering. Seems strange that they would even offer it though if I don't have anything of the sort on my account

As a bell Sales Rep, i know that the 42mbps service is only available in the downtown Toronto core. there is a map but you would also need the turbo stick which can support those speeds.
