Default Question about using 8320 on Bell's network

My buddy has a Rogers Blackberry 8320 and i was wondering if i would be able to put a Bell sim in it and use it on the bell network? Would it have to be unlocked and also is it compatible on the hspa network?

It is not an HSPA device, so it can't be used on bell.

Only current Blackberry's that are HSPA are the Bold's (9700 and 9000)

Same answer as pigdude. Only HSPA devices may be unlocked and used on Bell's HSPA network. It is not reverse-compatable to GSM.

AND due to the nature of CDMA, you usually cannot purchase a CDMA phone from anywhere and then choose your CDMA carrier. As I understand it, CDMA manufactured phones are locked to a specific carrier and they CANNOT be unlocked. (granted my knowlege of carrier technology is fuzzy so I'm willing to admit I'm wrong if someone else is willing to admit I'm right )
