Default Port/Activation Problems

We have just received several blackberry torch phones (Lousy POS IMO... stick with the 9700)

We attempted to port 6 phones over to Bell from Rogers. Two went through successfully without any problems however the blackberry service did not come though. After several hours the blackberry service did kick in, but the other phones did not activate.

This morning. I've tried porting over two and have run into the same issue, phone service only... No Blackberry Service.

First they blamed Rogers, now they're blaming blackberry saying there is a major outage in their NOC.

Their customer service is brutal! I've spent hours on the phone with them without satisfaction.

As soon as the ported phones become fully active I am beginning the process to port them back to Rogers. I hate the big red, but the clown show that is Bell is incompatible with today's business'

Is anyone else experiencing activation issues with bell?

Just picked up a Torch at Bell today, sweet phone, love it, however another thread.
No data coming in. Phoned Bell, they are blaming Blackberry for a major outage still. Been 16 hours now

There is some issues going around that on launch day so many Torch's were activated that BIS service books were having trouble being sent to the phones. Mine first started working 2 hours after leaving the staore but I only got phone service for outgoing calls only and got texing and incoming calls after 8 hours of leaving the store and finally got BIS up and running at around 32 hours after leaving the store. It does take a while for some reason

On launch day i tried to do a device switch from the 9530 to 9800 on the Bell BIS page, but it did not recognize the new device. Contacted Bell support, even had them log in to my BIS account to switch but couldn't do it. Finally i was told by support that ever since BIS was updated there is a bug in the system that doesn't recognize the device switch. They entered my info manually and i was up and running in minutes.
