Perfect 3g coverage, cannot upgrade to a 4g phone

My old blackberry storm (3g) is dying, and I've tried upgrading to a newer 4g phone.

However, in my Mall 1floor underground office I can't locate any connection with a few 4g phones I've tried. Whereas sitting right next to them, 3-4 bars on my 3g Storm.

Bell tells me they can't help and that I should buy an old Blackberry 8530 if I want coverage :-s

Any suggestions? Can I buy a 4g phone, and use it on Bells 3g network?

edit: I'm in the heart of Halifax, with full hspa coverage - it's just because I'm in the basement there's no signal.

weird that they would tell you to get a 8530 when they are discontinued.

I think they are steering you to another CDMA device because of your situation. You can buy HSPA phone and use it but as you said, you will have some problem in your basement.
