Lines through text after upgrading to 5.0.0.419

i'm way behind but just upgraded to OS5.0.0.419 from Bell Mobility's site. Since upgrading yesterday i my SMS and e-mails there are lines running through most of the text and it makes it unreadable. anyone else having the same problem? does anyone know how to fix this?

Go into Options and scroll down to SMS Text and open and the first option is to select conversation style.....Select Stripes and voila. It is also in the style of the Blackberry Messenger now. I like this much better anyways.
