 Kudos to Bell Mobility
Kudos to Bell Mobility. My daughter's birthday present was a nice new GSM phone. Her old phone was CDMA and had a very attractively priced/featured student plan on it. The guy in the store said that all her features would port over seamlessly to the new phone when we activated it on her birthday (which is today). He was wrong....in fact to even use the mobile web browser, which she had unlimited use of before, you need an add-on data plan.
Anyway, to make a long story short, I spent about 1/2 an hour on the phone with Bell Mobility today and they very graciously offered to change her new plan to reflect her old one and even threw in unlimited texting for good measure. She's now got 500 MB of data to burn up per month and since she's a very light data user (just a bit of web browsing and she's paranoid [good girl!] about streaming, etc.) that will be more than enough.
My daughter said that she'll take me along if she has to bargain for a new car but honestly, I just talked politely and clearly to them and they did the same in return.
