Same boat as everyone else, early upgrade is $270. Then Id have to still pay the ~$140 for the device.... is anyone having any luck with retentions?

Im considering holding off till April (15 bucks comes off the early upgrade fee every month), then I can sell my 9900 on kijiji for roughly the cost of the early upgrade.

Also, Im on 500MB of data... thoughts on this? GAHHHHH choices

They do have a trade in program, but its about half as much as you could get on kijiji/craigslist

It's supposed to be in the next couple of weeks, but please understand I can't say anymore.
Has there been any progress on this? I'm in pretty much the same position as everyone else here... Contract started August 14, 2011 and I'm eligible for an upgrade April 14, 2014. Early upgrade fee is $255, but retentions offered to drop $55 and the administration fees.

As far as I can tell, this is the same standard $15/month? Unless you were referring to the change in how cancellation fees are calculated.

I believe it's starting with all new renewals/contracts, so as you would be renewing an old contract you would pay the early upgrade and would be covered by the new rules going forward. I'm fuzzy on the particulars, brain isn't firing on all cylinders at the moment.

I'm sorta in the hospital at the moment and won't be back at work for a while so if anything has changed, I'm not aware.

Get better! Any advice you could offer on negotiating a better rate for the early upgrade fee?
