Default Does Bell 'pricematch'?

I am currently with Rogers. My plan is $35/month + $7 SAF (which I don't think Bell charges), so $42 (though with LD and roaming my bill is always over $100). I get 500MB, 350 anytime minutes, 6pm evenings, and Fab5 (Canada-wide). The same thing on Bell seems to be about $65.

Anyone had any luck negotiating contracts with Bell when coming from another carrier, or is their attitude: take an existing plan, or take a hike?

They don't have that kind of attitude but you would need to call customer service of Bell to get a comparable plan. The plan pricing usually isn't that far of from Rogers when coming down to negotiating with them. The biggest challenge is you most likely won't get get down to the dollar on what you want. Their argument is that Bell has a larger 3G coverage compared to Rogers therefore you get a better service with Bell. But always worth a try, instore reps cant do ****, when it comes down to negotiating a plan comparable to your existing.

PS. Don't BS cause if you do mostly CS reps will tell you to take a hike.

Thanks, that is what I wanted to know. I won't BS, I'll even fax/email them my rogers bill if they want. I worked in the service industry while going to school, so even though that was years ago, I realize the hot shot who cusses the sales guy out isn't helping his cause. I also don't mind paying a little extra for 3G coverage. I spend 99% of my time out of 3G coverage with rogers. Bell's 3G network, and Rogers indifference to rural Canada are the reasons I am switching.

Ya its sad that reps cant do much. They dont have retention tools. But right now I know in Ontario market Bell is giving 6pm nights, 6mo unlimited local calling, and waived activation fee on all their new activations. But as for plan pricing, still up there. If it wasnt for the 350 mins, itd be $50 (200 mins). As for your long distance, the Fab 5 on the smartphone plans are nation wide, and may help with this. Unless you are LD calling / Roam-calling to more then 5 ppl. Then in that case Bell does have LD packages you can add and remove at your own discression.
