CDMA & HSPA Bell Blackberry?
I have an 8330 with Bell that I'm looking to upgrade. I like it except for the lack of memory (especially with 5.0 OS) and no wifi. Because I travel off the main corridors in Alberta and Saskatchewan, I don't want to give up CDMA access yet as I'm thinking Bell & SaskTel aren't going to have to their entire CDMA network upgraded to HSPA any time soon. Are any of Bell's phones capable of running on both networks? I'm getting conflicting information depending which sales rep I talk to. What I know/figure out so far:
-Bold 9700: HSPA only, doesn't do CDMA (pretty confident on that)
-Storm 2: CDMA only as HSPA-capabilities on 2100MHz while Bell only running 1900MHz at the moment
-Bold 9000: from Blackberry's site, looks like should be able to do everything but one Bell rep told it is HSPA only while another told me it can use both networks
-Curve 8530: CDMA only (again, pretty confident on that)
So, on what I know so far, Bold 9000 might fit the bill - except for being fairly large, only 2MP camera, and still having the track ball.
Based on what my company will be willing to spring for, it's likely that the Curve 8530 is what I'd get...
Any thoughts or opinions?
