Default Bell coming to setup shop in Manitoba?

Does anyone know if Bell Canada will be coming to setup shop in Manitoba? now that there isn't any friendly agreement between Bell and MTS I'm just curious what Bell's plans are for Manitoba? so far only MTS, Rogers and Telus and operating corporate stores in Manitoba.

I would say that its inevitable, but this is my opinion and not based on anything really. Virgin Mobile runs off Bell's towers here. They are advertising the 9700 and iFone on their website, but "coming soon" to Sask and Man. (I'm assuming they are already available for purchase in other provinces).

Since MTS and Bell parted ways, it seems that the already "poor" customer service at MTS has gone even further down the toilet. Call centers are only open 8am-6pm, and I've waited on hold anywhere from 5-15minutes on hold... the rare times I have the time AND patience to wait.

Again, I don't have any other then guesses to base this on, but dear lord....let MTS die and allow us to have a REAL company to compete with Rogers! (not counting Virgin and Telus as they are "budget brands" owned by the larger 2 companies). And no, I'm not holding my breath for WIND to come here (at least not to rural areas of Manitoba) for a few years yet - if ever

Bell is being sold through their wireless etc. locations which are at all the costco locations. I guess they are gaining retail marketshare but, would be interesting to see if they try to make a corporate presence in Mb.

Bell was suppose to be here in April but this was pushed back to September and has been pushed back again till next year. Although bell is a big company the phones still won't be able to compare with Rogers due to the fact that it's CDMA and rogers uses a more advanced network GSM like Many European countries. Keep in mind I know others prefer CDMA and I'm not trying to start an arguement, this is just my opinion.

Actually, Bell also uses HSPA, which is above GSM. Yes, they do still use CDMA, but they now have HSPA as well, so they actually have some of the same phones as Rogers, such as the Bold 9000 and Bold 9700.

Although they have switched to HSDPA. This was only about 5 months ago, 3 years after Rogers had switched to HSDPA already. Nonetheless you are correct, they are starting to get better phones and its about time. have you heard anything about when bell is coming to manitoba?

Well, Bell does work in southern Manitoba already, but as far as total province coverage, there's no talk about it yet.
