Default Anyone using 8900 on Bell Mobility in Canada?

Greetings all.

Please forgive me if this is answered elsewhere in the forums. I will just put it out there.

I have recently upgraded to a 9700 Bold. I have a friend who is happy to take my very nice 8900 off my hands. However, she is a Bell Mobility subscriber and just wants to pop in the new SIM card and go.

I have successfully unlocked the phone. Will this render it usable on the Bell Mobility network? And if so, will there be a restriction on features? For example, I know that the phone has no 3G (this is why I upgraded), and as such setting up the phone with Bell's portal to the BIS and using it for data, not just voice and SMS, may not be possible even if it is unlocked.

I would be grateful for some guidance. I am sure there is a very good reason why Bell has never offered this phone as an option to its BlackBerry customers.

TIA
