BBRY has become what's known as a "battleground" stock. There are a great many investors and analysts who are asking the same question you are, OP, because the fundamentals are really good; no debt, lots of cash, lots of assets (including some very valuable patents and other intellectual property).
There have also been many analysts and investors who have no faith in the company, or may be running a competitor's agenda. These "shorts" have put up what now amounts to a $2bln bet that the company will not succeed in winning back market share.
Analysts for both points of view have been squaring off and screaming for attention, and in the absence of firm numbers from the company, we're going to see BBRY's value affected by news and sentiment for the next few weeks.
They are holding their quarterly meeting on March 28, at which point they'll announce numbers for their fiscal Q4 2013, which ended March 2 (yes, you read that right). They have to state numbers then and it will be our best view of how successful the Z10 launch has been. Until then, expect a bumpy ride.
